You can expect sunny skies with above average temperatures across the Greater Toronto Area and southern Ontario.

Environment Canada says Friday will start with sunny, clear skies and winds blowing around 20 km/h gusting up to around 40 km/h in Toronto, Mississauga and Brampton, while Hamilton could be even more blustery with gusts up to 50 km/h.

The daytime high is expected to be around 9 C, but will feel more like -8 C in the morning with the wind chill.

Temperature normals for this time of year are around 5 C on the high end and -4 C on the low.

The evening will start off clear but will get increasingly cloudy after midnight with a 40 per cent chance of showers overnight.

Environment Canada says to expect similar conditions in Oshawa and Durham Region, as well as the Niagara Falls area.
