You can expect periods of rain or snow through the weekend in the Greater Toronto Area and across southern Ontario.

Environment Canada says Saturday will start with rain showers or flurries in the morning with a 30 per cent chance of more flurries later in the afternoon in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton and Hamilton.

The temperature is expected to sit around 2 C in the afternoon but will feel more like -9 C with the wind chill, the agency says.

Winds will be blowing around 20 km/h to 30 km/h, gusting up to 50 km/h earlier in the day.

Conditions could be even more blustery in the Niagara Falls area with winds gusting up to 60 km/h.
