March 27 weather: Chance of rain for some parts of southern Ontario [Video]

You could be in for some rain on Thursday as there’s more showers in the forecast for parts of the Greater Toronto Area and southern Ontario.

Environment Canada says the day will start with a mix of sun and cloud across the GTA with a 60 per cent chance of showers in the afternoon in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Halton Hills and Milton.

The agency says to expect no rain with a mix of sun and cloud in Hamilton, Oshawa and Durham Region, the Niagara Falls area, and Caledon.

Daytime temperatures are expected to be around 11 C but will feel more like -8 C in the morning.

Into the evening there’s another 60 per cent chance of showers in the GTA and winds blowing around 30 km/h gusting up to 50 km/h.

The overnight low is 0 C.

Looking ahead to the rest of the week, and there’s a “potent spring ice storm” expected to hit a large part of Ontario, Environment Canada says.
