ORONO, Maine (WABI) – It appears a long-time Orono restaurant has permanently closed its doors.

Margarita’s has been a staple on Mill St. for decades serving up Mexican dishes and specialty drinks.

The restaurant has more than 20 locations throughout New England, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

In Maine, you can find Margaritas in Auburn, Augusta, Brunswick, Ellsworth, and Portland.

The Orono location’s phone number is no longer in use, with their Facebook saying the location is permanently closed. A former employee tells us they worked there until the restaurant closed.

WABI reached out to the owner of the Orono location who has yet to respond for our request to comment.
