A Brampton man who had a dream about winning the lottery woke up to find it came true, taking home over $255,000.

Alberto Amendola says he went to sleep on March 29 and had a dream he’d won the lottery.

The Brampton man is a long-time Lotto 6/49 and Lotto Max player, and told his wife about the dream before checking his tickets on Monday.

That’s when he learned he’d won over $255,000, winning the second-place Lotto 6/49 prize.

“When I first told my wife about my dream, she laughed, but when I returned home from the store and told her I’d won big, she was at a loss for words,” Alberto said while picking up his winnings at the OLG prize centre in Toronto.

“The next day, we went to the store together to validate my ticket. It went from a dream to reality,” he said.
