Massive new retailer opens at Square One in Mississauga [Video]

The wait is over for sneaker lovers and streetwear fans, as a popular international retailer has officially opened its doors at Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga.

JD Sports is now open and located on Level 2 of the mall, near Entrance 8, in the space formerly occupied by women’s clothing store Fairweather, which was one of the original retailers to open at Square One when the shopping centre first launched more than 50 years ago.

The opening marks another step in the brand’s growing presence in Canada, following the launch of a location at Heartland Town Centre last year.

Founded in the U.K., JD Sports has expanded globally with stores in England, France, Spain, Denmark and across Canada. The retailer specializes in athletic and lifestyle gear, offering a wide selection of shoes, apparel and accessories from major brands including Nike, Adidas, Puma, Vans, The North Face, Champion and Reebok.
