It’s expected to be a warm day with a chance of rain and a risk of thunderstorms overnight in the Greater Toronto Area and southern Ontario.

Environment Canada says Thursday will start off with mainly cloudy conditions and a 30 per cent chance of showers in the GTA.

The daytime high is expected to be around 22 C in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton and the Niagara Falls area but will feel more like 27 C due to humidity, the weather agency says.

The afternoon and evening will see more cloud cover increasing towards midnight with a risk of thunderstorms overnight.

The overnight low is expected to sit around 13 C, rising up to around 18 C by the morning.

Friday should bring a mix of sun and cloud to Mississauga with a high of around 27 C, while there’s a 40 per cent chance of showers in the evening.
