The forecast is calling for showers throughout the day in the Greater Toronto Area and southern Ontario.

Environment Canada says the day is expected to start out cloudy in the GTA with a 60 per cent chance of showers in Toronto and more rain expected in the morning in Mississauga and Brampton.

Hamilton, Oshawa and the Niagara Falls area are all also expected to see showers through the morning, the weather agency says.

The daytime high is expected to be around 16 C, a few degrees shy of the seasonal normal of around 22 C.

Wednesday evening could see more showers mixed with periods of drizzle in Mississauga before morning.

There could also be fog patches overnight across southern Ontario with an overnight low of around 11 C.

Thursday could see more rain with a 40 per cent chance of showers in the forecast and a high of around 17 …
