ANCHORAGE, AK (Alaska’s News Source) – Anchorage saw very light showers and a few sunny breaks on Thursday.

Rain was just over a half inch for Portage. Dry conditions north and west of the Alaska Range.

But it was very wet weather for southeast Alaska Thursday!

Continued onshore flow will keep the chance of rain for the southern areas of the state. Mostly areas along the coast.

Break-up conditions on the Yukon River on still of concern. Near Buckland, reports of rising water. Alaskans living along river systems in the northern half of the state need to remain alert.

The forecast calls for areas of low pressure hanging around the Bering to the Gulf of Alaska Friday and Saturday.

And that keeps clouds and showers over many areas.
