Health officials said the case in Colorado Springs involved a child under five years old who recently traveled with family to Ontario, Canada, where the measles outbreak is ongoing. They said the child was vaccinated with one dose of the MMR vaccine.

Health officials said the second case involves an unvaccinated adult in Aurora who was at the Denver International Airport. Health officials said they believe this case is linked to the exposure of an out-of-state traveler who flew into the Airport on May 13 while infectious.
