Medical crews respond to crash involving school bus on highway 1

Medical crews respond to collision involving school bus on highway 1:

Around 7:45 am Wednesday morning, Manitoba rcmp units received reports of a collision between a semi truck and school bus at the intersection of highway 1 and provincial road 334.

Officers say that the school bus was travelling southbound on provincial road 334 attempting to stop at a traffic light and slid into the intersection where a westbound semi truck crashed into the school bus.

The school bus was occupied by 6 students that were not injured. The school bus driver was not injured was appeared to be shaken up from the incident. The semi driver was not injured.

The semi truck had jackknifed during the collision attempting to avoid the crash with the bus. Westbound lanes of highway 1 were blocked for a period of time.

Stars was dispatched to the scene as the extent of injuries was unknown but services were not needed.
