WKYC has quite a footprint that reaches homes as far east as Ashtabula, as far West as Sandusky, as far South as Hinkley and as far North as … Leamington, Ontario.
LEAMINGTON, ON — I recently learned that WKYC’s broadcast signal stretches all the way into parts of Canada. Windsor, London, and a little place called Leamington, Ontario.
And while I’m sure Canadians can see us from their side of the lake, I couldn’t help but wonder: Are they watching? I had to find out. So, I packed up and hit the road with one goal in mind: to recruit new viewers for WKYC.
Now, to be clear, Leamington is only about 60 miles away from Cleveland as the crow flies. But, thanks to a lovely body of water called Lake Erie and a distinct lack of bridges, my “short” trip turned into a three-hour international voyage. But after some scenic detours, I finally made it to Leamington, Ontario.
