An Ontario girl missing for a month with ties to Brampton has been found safe, police say.

In recent weeks, the Owen Sound Police issued multiple calls for information about Jillianne, a 15-year-old girl who was last seen in the upper east side area of Owen Sound around 8 p.m. on April 28.

Police said she was from the Flesherton area but had links to Brampton, and asked members of the public for information about her disappearance.

But on Thursday, police said Jilliane had “been safely located” after going missing for nearly a month.

“The support and vigilance shown by the community played an instrumental role in helping bring Jillianne home safely,” Owen Sound Police said in a release.

Anyone with information about this incident can contact the Owen Sound police by calling 519-376-1234. Anonymous tips may also be provided to Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477 or visiting www.ontariocrimestoppers.ca.
