Mississauga student to face terror-related charges in U.S. [Video]

A  Mississauga student accused in a plot to kill Jewish people in New York has agreed to be extradited to the United States.

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) says Muhammad Shahzeb Khan, 21, a citizen of Pakistan who once lived in Mississauga has consented to the extradition order.

Khan was scheduled to have an extradition hearing today in Montreal but agreed to surrender to U.S. authorities to answer terror-related charges. He had been arrested in Quebec last September following an alleged plot to kill Jews on behalf of the Islamic State.

The DOJ said that Khan, also known as Shahzeb Jadoon, was allegedly planning the attack last Oct. 7.
