MLAs on committee aim more questions at P.E.I. premier on controversial NHL deal [Video]

The fall legislative sitting has been over for a couple of weeks now, but that doesn’t mean an end to questions about the provincial government’s NHL contract. On Friday, a group of MLAs put forward a long list of demands for more information on the deal. As of yet, there is no second subpoena to compel the province to respond, but as CBC’s Kerry Campbell reports, that’s where this could lead.

Opposition politicians had more questions for P.E.I.’s premier and Department of Tourism Friday at a legislature committee on education and economic growth.

MLAs requested a long list of documents and information related to the province’s marketing deal with the National Hockey League, first revealed back in February.
