Two child victims in the Philippines have been found in a child pornography investigation that led to the arrest of a Clarington man back on August 30.
Durham Police’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) executed a search warrant July 31 at the home of a man they believed to be making and sharing child pornography, using the Telegram app with user names ‘C Ja’ and ‘Nomey6969’. The suspect was arrested and several electronic devices were seized from the residence.
Subsequent analysis of the man’s computers revealed a “multitude” of child pornographic content, including plans to travel and commit sexual acts on underage persons.
Christopher Jackson, 30, was arrested 30 days later – after being charged and released the previous month – and charged with ten child pornography offences and another eight counts of breaching conditions from a previous sexual offence conviction.
He has been held in custody ever since.
