TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – U.S. Senator Bernie Moreno is calling for federal investigations into an incident in which a Venezuelan man allegedly overstayed his visa and pretended to be a teenager to enroll in a local high school.

24-year-old Anthony Labrador Sierra is accused of faking documentation and pretending to be a teenager to enroll at Perrysburg High School. He attended the school for over a year before the discovery of his real identity, police said.

Senator Moreno (R-Ohio) asked the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI to conduct a full federal investigation into how the man arrived to the United States and how he was able to deceive the community for over a year.

In the letter to the leaders of those federal agencies, Moreno said his office has reason to believe the man may have been involved in a relationship with a minor and asked investigators to look into any possible sexual misconduct.
