A 29-year-old motorcyclist rider is in hospital with serious injuries after he collided into the rear of a tractor-trailer in Highway 401 early Friday morning.

Police say witnesses reported two motorcycles traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the collision, which happened just before 2 a.m. near the eastbound Kingston Road exit where Toronto meets Pickering.

The second rider did not stop, an OPP official said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Toronto OPP at (416) 235-4981.
