B.C.’s reputation as Hollywood North goes well beyond Metro Vancouver, and a new online tool aims to show off one Interior region’s contributions to film history.
The Thompson-Nicola Film Commission released an interactive movie locations map Tuesday, which anyone can use to find out where everything from blockbusters to indie short films, TV shows, commercials and documentaries were shot in the regional district, which includes the cities of Kamloops and Merritt.
The list features the likes of Jurassic World Dominion, filmed in Merritt, Power Rangers and Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, both shot in Kamloops.
The map includes information on where to watch each piece of media and whether the filming location is accessible to the public.
“The movie map is a testament to the incredible variety of locations in the Thompson-Nicola region,” said Terri Hadwin with the film commission in a Tuesday news release.
