MPD: 17-year-old assaulted, robbed; suspect shows up at hospital [Video]

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The Memphis Police Department says a 17-year-old was robbed and assaulted Monday night.

One of the suspects then later showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound.

At 7:06 p.m., officers got a call about a robbery on Ontario Avenue.

The victim, 17, told police that he was approached by two men requesting $2 for gas.

He pulled out money to give them for gas when one of them yelled, “Get him!”

Police say the two men then began punching the victim in his head and face several times.

The victim was also hit with a gun, according to police.

Police say the two men stole a black Glock 19 and $200 in cash before running away from the scene.

The teen was taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in a non-critical condition with his injuries.
