N.B. man charged after being caught using stolen dirtbike: RCMP [Video]

A 32-year-old man from Moncton, N.B., is facing drugs and weapons charges after police say he was found using a stolen dirt bike.

On Wednesday, police learned a dirt bike that was previously reported stolen may have been located in the Cumberland area of Nova Scotia. Officers started conducting patrols to find the missing item.

The next day, police located the dirt bike on Highway 204 in Stanley, N.S.

When the driver stopped, police say officers were able to prevent him from continuing on.

The driver, Jesse Parlee, was arrested for possession of property obtained by crime.

Parlee was searched and police say he was in possession of:

  • multiple stolen drivers licences and cheques
  • a variety of drugs believed to be ready for sale
  • a conducted energy weapon, which is a prohibited weapon and was possessed contrary to probation conditions
