N.B. RCMP search for wanted man [Video]

RCMP in New Brunswick is asking the public for assistance finding a man wanted by police.

Robin Nicholas, 42, of Tobique First Nation, N.B., is wanted on two warrants for multiple counts of assault of a peace officer and resisting arrest, said a Sunday news release.

The alleged crimes are connected to an ongoing investigation in Tobique First Nation, said the release.

Nicholas is described as approximately 5-foot-4 (163 cm), weighing approximately 170 lbs (77 kg) with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with a blue front pocket, black sweatpants and brown boots.

Nicholas is believed to be carrying a pocketknife, said the release.

RCMP said Nicholas should not be approached by members of the public. They said anyone who sees Nicholas should call local police immediately.

Police said they do not believe there is an active threat to the public in the release.
