Halifax Regional Police said Windmill Road between Victoria Road and Wright Avenue was closed in both directions due to the break around 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The road partially opened around 3:30 a.m. Thursday.

Both Dartmouth bound lanes of Windmill Road are now open and one lane Bedford bound is open.

Halifax Water said Thursday night that water service would be temporarily shut down in the area with no estimate of service restoration time.
