A Meteghan River man is facing multiple weapons and drug trafficking charges after Nova Scotia police seized rifles and cocaine from two Digby County homes last week.
Officers executed search warrants at residents on Highway 1 in Church Point and on Maza Road in Saulnierville on Dec. 3 as part of an ongoing investigation.
According to an RCMP news release, police seized:
- two rifles
- a handgun
- ammunition
- a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon
- cocaine
- tusi (also known as pink cocaine)
- a cell phone
- cash
Officers arrested Justin Charles MacLean, 38, at a Water Street residence in Yarmouth. He was charged with:
- three counts of careless storage of a firearm
- three counts of possession of a firearm without a licence
- three counts of possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
- three counts of possession of a firearm while prohibited
- two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking
- possession of a restricted weapon without a licence
- possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition …
