Near-record warmth Thursday & Friday ahead of winter storm! [Video]

OVERNIGHT – THURSDAY: Wednesday brought back spring-like conditions, with highs in the upper-40s and a mix of Sun and clouds. However, by 10PM, a disturbance from out west will bring light snow showers to the northern half of our region, mostly along the International Border. Those showers will stick around until about midday on Thursday, before they lift back into Canada by early afternoon. By that time, snow totals will be around 0.5″ around the International Border, so another coating of snow in areas north of Highway 2. This means a few slick spots up north, so that’s something to keep in mind.

Besides those precipitation chances, however, most of our region will stay dry, so although skies will be cloudy, which means a gray morning commute, temperatures will be in the low-to-mid-30s and the morning commute should be quiet in most areas.
