ONTARIO COUNTY, N.Y. — New information has come to light regarding the motel where Sam Nordquist, from Oakdale Minnesota, was allegedly tortured and killed.
NBC News obtained Ontario County Sheriff’s Office records that show law enforcement was called to Patty’s Lodge Motel in Hopewell, New York at least eight times during the period of Nordquist’s captivity. However, none of these calls were specifically related to Room 22, where Nordquist was allegedly held and tortured from Jan. 1 to Feb. 2.
The Ontario County District Attorney’s Office has charged seven people with first-degree murder in connection with Nordquist’s death. All seven suspects have pleaded not guilty and face life without parole if convicted.
