New images released as police try to track down suspect in attempted stabbing in Ontario city [Video]

Durham Police have released additional images of a suspect wanted in connection with an attempted stabbing in north Oshawa Sunday night.

Police said two people were walking east on Danztore Path at 10:30 p.m. Sunday when they were approached by a man walking in the opposite direction. As they passed each other, the man pulled out a knife and tried to stab one of them.

The suspect fled the area before police arrived.  Numerous police units, including K9, attended the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

No physical injuries were reported.

The incident happened near Steeplechase Street and Windfields Farm Drive, just east of Simcoe Street and north of the university The motive remains under investigation and anyone with video footage from this area is asked to contact Central West Division Criminal Investigations Branch at 1-888-579-1520 at ext. 1805.
