Nintendo Switch 2 preorders start on April 2, says Best Buy Canada [Video]

Preorders for the Nintendo Switch 2 will begin on April 2, the same day as the forthcoming console’s Nintendo Direct livestream, according to a since-deleted post on Best Buy Canada’s blog.

“Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 will open on April 2nd at Best Buy Canada, giving you the chance to secure your console early,” reads an archived version of the March 27 post, which linked out to a live page where shoppers could sign up for preorder news alerts (h/t IGN). The post did not mention a price or release date for the Switch 2, nor did it specify what time preorders would start.

Nintendo will will likely confirm these details during next week’s Direct; the company hasn’t shared any Switch 2 preorder information itself yet. The stream will kick off at 9 a.m. ET/6 a.m. PT on April 2 and air on Nintendo’s YouTube channel.
