District won’t say when it told law enforcement about trafficking suspicions; however, 11 Investigates has learned it did not tell Perrysburg police until May 19.
PERRYSBURG, Ohio — Perrysburg Schools says it does not have a specific policy regarding the reporting of trafficking claims, according to a statement provided Friday in response to 11 Investigates’ questions surrounding the enrollment of Anthony Emmanuel Labrador Sierra.
Labrador-Sierra, 24, is facing federal charges after investigators say he used a false identity to pose as a 16-year-old and enroll at Perrysburg High School in 2023. Authorities say he overstayed a visa and submitted documents with conflicting birthdates — one claiming he was born in 2007 — in order to enroll in school and later obtain a firearm.
According to federal court documents, Labrador-Sierra allegedly claimed to be a homeless immigrant from Venezuela and a victim of human trafficking when he enrolled in school.
