North Toledo mess seeing clean-up [Video]

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A large north Toledo property has become a large dumping ground. Everything from toys to boats are littering the property. Now, we are seeing some of the mess being cleaned up.

The property is in an area of North Michigan, Ontario and Columbus streets. Garbage at the entry of the Ann Arbor Railroad property has been cleaned up and some large tires are blocking vehicles from dumping more on the property.

The cleanup started after the 13 Action News I-TEAM first brought attention to the mess Monday.

The city of Toledo inspected the property and found violations.

A spokeswoman told the I-TEAM Wednesday that they are working with the railroad, which has told the city it will work on the issues over the next week or so.

Both sides are expected to work together to secure the site long-term as well.
