The Blueberry River First Nations (BRFN) are refuting claims over the standing of Blueberry River Resources (BRR), who last month announced they would cease operations.
The company established to advance the economic opportunities of the BRFN posted the release to their LinkedIn page.
In a statement dated December 2, 2024, Council says they found the directors’ decision misleading and unjustified, adding that it came as a shock.
“The actions taken by the former directors were not approved by Blueberry’s Council,” said Councillor Wayne Yahey. “It was inappropriate to take such extreme actions without the knowledge or approval of Council.”
