Temperatures will take a drop on Tuesday as strong winds and a cold front blow across Mississauga, Brampton and much of southern Ontario.
Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for parts of the province on Monday evening saying to expect gusts of up to 80 km/h in some areas as a cold front blasts through the region.
“Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, break branches off trees, and cause local power outages,” Environment Canada said in the alert.
And while the wind and chillier temperatures will be on the shorelines of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay, the mercury will also take a drop in the GTA and surrounding areas.
For Tuesday Environment Canada is calling for a high of 6 C in Mississauga, Brampton and Toronto, climbing up to 7 C in Hamilton. Overnight conditions will see a drop further down to around -1 C to -3 C.
