Nov. 23 weather: Rain and snow flurries on the way for parts of southern Ontario [Video]

While it’s not time to break out the snow shovels just yet across most of the province, the forecast is calling for more wet and gloomy weather this weekend in Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton and much of southern Ontario.

Temperatures are expected to nearly double the seasonal norm of around 5 C on Saturday with a daytime high of between 9 C and 10 C expected in the GTA, according to Environment Canada.

And while some parts of the province have already seen snow, Saturday will bring a 60 per cent chance of showers in Toronto, Mississauga, Hamilton and much of Ontario.

But colder temperatures later on Saturday in some areas like Orangeville, Barrie and Innisfil could see rain turn into snow flurries near midnight.
