Nov. 26 weather: Winter on the way with snow, freezing rain for parts of southern Ontario [Video]

The first hints of winter winter weather are on the way with flurries in the forecast for Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton and many parts of southern Ontario on Tuesday.

A special weather statement and advisories were issued for areas to the north of the GTA on Monday while larger metropolitan areas could also see snow on Tuesday, says Environment and Climate Change Canada.

The forecast is calling for a 40 per cent chance of showers or flurries in Mississauga, Brampton and Hamilton on Tuesday, while some parts of the province like Barrie and Orillia could see up to 5 cm of snowfall.

Tuesday is expected to see cloudy skies with a westerly west of around 30 km/h gusting to up to 60 km/h in some areas. The daytime high will be around 7 C in Mississauga, Hamilton and the GTA dropping to around 0 C overnight.
