Antigonish County District RCMP is trying to track down a man wanted on a provincewide arrest warrant for sexual assault in Nova Scotia.
Police say 47-year-old Clifton Curtis Jordan of Cooks Cove, N.S., is facing the following charges:
- sexual assault
- assault by choking
- administering a noxious substance
- failure to comply with conditions
“Charges were sworn and the warrant of arrest was granted on Sept. 13, after officers were unable to locate Jordan — despite significant efforts over a 12-day period,” said Allison Gerrard, senior communications advisor for the Nova Scotia RCMP, in a statement to CTV Atlantic.
“While police continue to look for Jordan, his whereabouts are currently unknown; investigators are hoping that information from the public will quickly assist in locating him.”
Gerrard declined to comment on the alleged incident that led to the charges, citing their “sensitive nature.”
