SIOUX CITY — Two dozen Sioux City elementary school students avoided serious injury Wednesday when the school bus on which they were riding was involved in an accident.
The crash occurred at 8 a.m. near the intersection of 22nd Street and North Lewis Boulevard
Sioux City Police Sgt. Tom Gill said the school bus was southbound on Lewis Boulevard on its way to Unity Elementary School with 25 students on board.
The bus rear-ended a stopped GMC Yukon, which then was pushed into the back of a minivan stopped in front of it.
No students were seriously injured, according to a statement from the Sioux City Community School District.
