Breanna Pinick, 20, was originally charged with two counts of intoxication assault causing seriously bodily injury. Now, one charge has been upgraded.
ODESSA, Texas — An Odessa woman has been arrested for intoxication manslaughter Tuesday after her five-year-old male passenger died Monday due to injuries sustained in a Dec. 22 crash, according to Corporal Steve LeSueur with the Odessa Police Department (OPD).
Around 8:43 p.m., OPD was called to Yukon and Grandview because of a “major crash.”
A unidentified man, 25, driving a gray Dodge Ram, was going southbound in the 6100 block of North Grandview.
Breanna Pinick, 20, driving a white Chevrolet Cruze with a 15-year-old female passenger and five-year-old male passenger in the car, was going “northbound in the southbound lanes of Grandview.” Pinick struck the 25-year-old man “head-on.”
According to LeSueur, both Pinick’s passengers were taken to Medical Center Hospital (MCH) in Odessa with serious bodily injuries. …
