One person has died following a drowning incident in an Ontario river.
Emergency crews were called to a report of a person in distress in the Saugeen River in Paisley on Monday around 1:30 p.m., OPP said. Paisley is a small community southwest of Owen Sound.
Police said bystanders brought the person to the shore and started lifesaving measures.
A 25-year-old from Georgetown was pronounced dead, police said.
OPP isn’t releasing the victim’s identity out of respect for the privacy of the family.
