Ontario case worker charged with child luring [Video]

An Ontario case worker has been charged with luring children.

Information from York Regional Police has stated that, on Feb. 15, 2025, officers were informed that a youth in the area had been frequently communicating with a male suspect.

It was further highlighted that the victim met the suspect through an acquaintance, after which, the suspect allegedly offered the victim psychotherapy services at no cost.

Police say between Nov. 2024 and Feb. 2025, the suspect was engaged in routine communication with the victim, until he then allegedly professed that he wanted to pursue a non-professional relationship with them.

After a full-scale investigation was launched by the police, the suspect was identified and a search warrant was executed yesterday, April 16, 2025, at a residence in the Town of Grimsby.

As a result, 71-year-old Norman Behie was then charged with one count of luring a child.

The charges have not been proven in court.
