Ontario court approves lawsuit against multinational for alleged cancer causing product [Video]

A major lawsuit against one of the world’s top multinational companies has been given the green light in Ontario.

A report released today on behalf of the Ontario-based McKenzie Lake Lawyers LLP, Koskie Minsky LLP, and Merchant Law Group LLP revealed that the Ontario Superior Court of Justice has certified a class action lawsuit against Bayer CropScience Inc.

The initial proceedings, which were drafted in 2019, pertain to a group of plaintiffs pursuing legal action against the multinational after exposure to the herbicide known as Roundup, which, according to the release, caused significant health issues.

According to today’s document, the class action has been defined as “all individuals in Canada who (a) had Significant Exposure to Roundup prior to December 8, 2023, and (b) were diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma after their Significant Exposure.”
