Road safety officers have taken an Ontario trucking school’s vehicle off the road and laid charges after a failed inspection.

Peel Regional Police say officers with the Road Safety Services team brought a trucking school in for an inspection on Sunday revealing “many issues” with the instruction vehicle.

Safety violations included tires worn beyond limit, multiple air leaks, a broken air tank bracket and front tires making contact with air lines.

Police say both the driver and the school were charged. Officers also removed the plates from the truck and trailer, taking it off the road.

Anyone who suspects a driver of operating dangerously or while impaired by drugs or alcohol is encouraged to call 911 and report it when safe to do so.
