The little village of Goodwood in Uxbridge Township is proud of its connection to the hit television show Schitt’s Creek, as a cheeky new sign at one of the show’s former shooting locations can attest.
‘Goodwood – where everyone fits in’ is newly installed in front of Goodwood Mercantile (formerly a wool shop and art gallery), which was the local Apothecary (drug store) during filming for the hugely popular series.
The sign is an ode to the poster promoting the town in the show and not to worry; she’s his sister!
The town and its businesses – shooting locations for most of the scenes for the show (Rosebud Motel was located in Orangeville) – take pride in their part in the show’s success, with Goodwood locations standing in for Bob’s Garage, Ronald’s House and the Tropical Café, among other shooting spots.
Tours of the locations in town is a thing …
