One person remains in hospital with serious injuries after a three-vehicle crash in heavy fog north of Ingersoll on Monday morning.

Provincial police say it happened around 8:30 a.m. at Road 84 and 37th Line in Zorra Township. The crash involved a transport truck, a fuel tanker, and a pickup truck.

The pickup truck took heavy damage, with debris from the crash scattered about the rural intersection.

37th Line was closed at Road 88 and Wallace Street. Road 84 was closed between 41st Line and 37th Line for several hours to facilitate the investigation. Roads have since reopened.

Oxford OPP Const. Randi Crawford says the pickup driver was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, but his condition has since improved.
