A cloudy sky and above-average temperatures will close out 2024 in the nation’s capital.

The weather forecast for Ottawa calls for a high of 4 C Tuesday, about 10 degrees warmer than normal for this time of year.

A partly cloudy sky is in the forecast for the countdown to 2025. We are expecting periods of snow mixed with rain and a risk of freezing to start in the early morning hours of Wednesday. The overnight low is 0.

New Year’s Day is looking cloudy with snow, mixed with rain at times, and a high of 1 C.

Thursday’s outlook is cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of flurries and a high of -1 C.

Colder weather is expected on the weekend.
