Ottawa’s first baby of 2025 arrived 19 minutes into the new year.
The Ottawa Hospital says a baby boy named Oliver was born at the Civic Campus at 12:19 a.m. Wednesday, weighing 7 pounds and 14 ounces.
“The parents are resting,” the Ottawa Hospital said in a statement on New Year’s Day.
No other information was released about Oliver and his family.
Ottawa’s first baby of 2024 was born at the Queensway-Carleton Hospital, while the first baby of 2023 in Ottawa was born at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus.
