Overnight frost warning issued for parts of southern Ontario [Video]

After Saturday evening’s frost, southern Ontario appears to be bracing for yet another round of chilly conditions.

Patchy frost is expected Sunday evening as temperatures drop near zero degrees Celsius, particularly in areas inland from Lake Ontario.

The following areas are included in the frost advisory:

  • Mississauga
  • Brampton
  • Oakville
  • City of Toronto

Residents in these frost-prone areas are advised to cover up plants and take preventative measures to protect plants and trees sensitive to the cooler conditions.

According to Environment Canada, frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach freezing during the growing season, potentially damaging plants and crops.

Individuals are advised to monitor for updates and changes issued by Environment Canada.
