With the hockey team in the midst of a playoff run the timing could be better, but it’s been two years since Oshawa Generals owner Rocco Tullio made his last biennial threat to move the team to Pickering so perhaps the timing is most appropriate.
The lease arrangements at the Tribute Communities Centre between the Oshawa Generals hockey club and the City of Oshawa was the subject of a closed-door session of council last Friday, with councillors being asked to “reconsider” parts of a two-year-old decision made on the club’s future in Oshawa.
