P.E.I.’s Major Tom Hamilton is a minister and a military chaplain, but he’s also a historian. That’s the role that led him to help identify the remains of a soldier found in France in 2012, with DNA testing in 2023 confirming the results of some detective work. He recently presided over the burial of Lt. Frank Hemsley, with the soldier’s family in attendance. CBC’s Nancy Russell has the story.
