An airplane passenger’s struggle to keep her personal space from being invaded by a fellow traveler has sparked discussion about etiquette and entitlement on flights.

In a post titled “Please don’t do this,” shared by user u/wrongful_me in the r/delta subreddit on March 9, the user says she woke up mid-flight to find a man sitting next to her stretching his leg into her seat, with his foot under her designated space.

“I only brought one item onto the plane so I could put my feet under the seat in front of me,” the Redditor wrote in the post, which has amassed 8,300 upvotes and hundreds of comments.
