Paul Mescal worked his Irish charm on YouTube host Amelia Dimoldenberg for the newest episode of her massively popular Chicken Shop Date series.

For the unfamiliar, Chicken Shop Date, which boasts more than 2.2 million followers on YouTube, is “an interview series that awkwardly combines romance and fried chicken.”

Kildare native Paul is the latest in a long line of celebrities that have appeared on Chicken Shop Date, which is filmed in the UK at – you guessed it – a chicken shop.

Amelia gets down to business quickly on her latest date, asking Paul if he likes Guinness – before quickly adding, “Is that offensive to say to an Irish person?”

“No! It’s actually not,” Paul says. “This is actually quite topical for me at the moment. I’ve recently gotten into Guinness, which is kind of sacrilegious for an Irish person to say.”
